Started as GO Week in October of 2004, GO Week grew quickly in popularity to become GO Month in January of 2005. Having participated with GO Month during that first year while still a member of the New York NAPO chapter, STRESSED.PRESSED.MESSED has continued participating with chapter special events each year since.
GO Month 2009 marked the first year in which STRESSED.PRESSED.MESSED planned to offer sponsorship with a contest created for GO Month. This sponsorship was also in celebration of SPM Professional Organizer, Madeleine DeNitto celebrating 10 years of organizing!
The contest was DESK DISORDER, a messy desk contest. Applications were sent via e-mails to SPM throughout the month of January, finalists were contacted during the first week of February and by the 10th, Lisa Bedson was chosen and notified!
Winner received:
- a full clutter clearance of a messy desk at home or at work
- free products for storage, filing and drawer organization to accommodate the space
- free coaching on system(s) maintenance
- free book and other reading materials
The actual makeover took place on Tuesday, March 24, 2009.
